Meet Janelle
Hello! I'm Janelle, a classically trained pianist with over 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from BYU. I've performed as a soloist with multiple orchestras, including the Utah Symphony, and I now dedicate my work to inspiring and nurturing young musicians throughout Utah County. I love teaching the classics and the hymns of faith.
Mom taught me how to break music into sections and then put those sections together to play correctly. I learned that correct practice makes correct playing and correct playing 6 times a week leads to steady progress. Steady progress leads to more enjoyment and continues to help us do more of what we really want to do musically.
I believe that learning never ends, and I continue to refine my skills through continual study and practice.
I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, strong technique, and a deep appreciation for music. Whether a prospective student is just starting out or looking to sharpen their skills, I provide patient, structured instruction that helps them grow with confidence and joy.
